You will love this place for the:
- Mexican fast food - just like home cook'n with Rick Bayless
- Real butcher -our favorite are the pork shoulders... cheap and ready for a long slow cook.
- Ripe vegetables - ever tried to get a ripe avocado? This place has them just yearning to jump into the guacamole bowl.
- Mexican bakery (panaderia) - freshly cooked flour and corn tortillas (still warm) and wonderful bolillo.
And, don't miss this freshly prepared chips (available near the butcher) and home made salsas.

Super A is a small local market that reminds me of the "springfield brand" markets in the small town I come from.
It has a pretty decent produce selection and frequently has good fruits and veggies available at competitive prices.
The store is open late (11pm) which makes for extra convenience for last minute items. I don't do any heavy shopping there due to limited choices and higher overall prices, but I'm glad it's there and so close.
Plus they fry some pretty damn good tortilla chips, you can find them over by the butcher aisle.

My wife and I come to this store when we need them authentic Mexican Caren Asada fixings. This store is only a 5 min drive from the Eagle Rock neighborhood.
This Super A Foods location sells fresh marinated Carne Asama, Mexican tomato red rice (yummy) and their kick butt fresh homemade Salsa (Red and Verded) and many more. Their deep fried wings aren't bad either. I know, it's not the healthiest of choice, but hey, keep it at a minimal and you're okay. You only live once right?
While you're here, take your time and cruise down the aisles. Guarantee you will have a blast finding lots of nifty products like Cola Champagne (a popular Latin creme soda) or those authentic Pan (Mexican sweet breads) or maybe pick up something totally foreign and just give it a shot. You will never know.
The store is fairly large in size, produce, meats and fruits are fresh.
Friendly staff and the old school decor is just priceless.
